Where does our Sage come from?

We, at Blue River Sage, proudly source our white sage directly from its natural habitat – which is found on private property owned by a family who has had the land for generations. We do not support any form of deforestation, over-harvesting, “wild harvesting”, over-fishing, or anything else that harms the environment!

Our products can be found on thousands of acres of beautiful, mountainous land, located just a few miles inland from the pacific coast. Our sage grows where the animals roam free, plants are in abundance, and quartz and gold can be found in the ground.

Each of our products are hand-picked by highly trained employees, who have been working on the land for years. They are careful to gather only the top flower of the stalk. This ensures that plant does not stress, and gives the lower flowers time to continue to grow and spread the seeds in the surrounding area.

We use that sweet sweet Earth water to nourish our sage. - We don’t use any type of sprinkler system, lines of crop, green houses, or any other unnatural growing procedures that can tarnish the land. We’re all about that natural life – plenty of sun, soil, water, and love.

We love working with all the family who owns and manages the land. They’re generous, kind, and most importantly knowledgeable about how to handle our products. They employee well over 100 families in the local area, and we cannot thank them enough for what they do.

Thank you for supporting our local business, and everyone else who helps make Blue River Sage possible!
